On offer for sale is a vintage needlework sampler dated 1832. The condition is not perfect, but it is a very good looking piece. There is a small scorched area in the top right corner and age related marks, fading and discolorations. Approximate dimensions 16 1/2 inches by 14 3/4 inches including the frame and 12 3/4 inches by 11 inches of the visible sampler. Signed and dated in needlework (Isabella Smith 1832). The sampler is mounted to an old stretcher backing and comes with an old birds eye maple frame. The frame is not perfect is has some veneer loss and usage marks, but suits this sampler very well. This is ready to be hung on the wall and admired. If you like vintage samplers with character then you will not be disappointed with this piece, but please do not expect it to be perfect as it will show normal signs of age, after all, this sampler is 186 years old.
