On offer for sale is a vintage needlework sampler dated 1826. The condition is good for it's age, but it's not perfect. There are a few holes in the verse area, along with a few other very tiny ones. The colors are good and it's signed and dated in needlework (Eleanor Beckwith March 1826). Approximate dimensions 13 1/2 inches by 13 7/8 inches including the frame and 11 1/2 inches by 11 3/4 inches of the visible sampler. Lots of decoration in this piece, please check out all of the images. Come in a later frame with non reflective glass. Young ladies back in the day were required as part of their education to put their needlework skills to the test and produce a sampler like this, which would often take up to a year or more to complete. Please bear in mind this is a vintage item which is around 192 years old, so please do not expect it to be perfect as it will show normal signs of age.
