On offer for sale are a charming pair of Victorian engraved prints depicting cats and dogs in a whimsical scene....These prints were made from a steel engraving, which is why these are such good quality prints....One is dated at the top edge as follows: (London Published March 20th 1886 By E. E. Leggatt 62 Cheapside - New York)....There is a NY Company name, but I can't quite make it out....Both signed in pencil Frank Paton, and both have some whimsical pictures on the lower edge as well....Approximate dimensions of each print 14 3/4 inches by 26 1/2 inches including the frame....In the first scene there are two cats by a tree, because there are birds up in the tree, and two dogs are at the entrance watching the cats....The second picture shows a lady chasing the two dos with an old style broom and the two cats up in the tree, the birds have long since flown off in this scene....So we have the cats chasing the birds, the dogs chasing the cats and then the lady chasing off the dogs....They really are great prints with a great subject matter....The condition is good for their age, especially when you consider how old these are, going back to 1886....There are some age spots, but very minor and just help to authenticate the age of these prints....Some images may show a reflection due to the glass in the frames....AIRMAIL DELIVERY TO ALL PARTS OF THE USA, PARTS OF AUSTRALIA AND CANADA WILL BE $35, AND ITEMS USUALLY ARRIVE WITHIN A FEW DAYS.... These will be well packed in a custom wooden box to ensure their safe arrival....Payment can be with paypal from customers with CONFIRMED and VERIFIED PAYPAL ACCOUNTS....Please check your paypal account status....Collection in person is not available, this item must be mailed to a verified address....Please email with any questions and thanks for looking in today.........
