On offer for sale is an early needlework sampler dating to 1821....Approximate dimensions 15 1/2 inches by 13 1/2 inches including the frame, and 12 1/4 inches by 8 inches if just the sampler....It's signed and dated Hannah Worth her work 1821....The sampler is in good original condition....On the back of the frame there is a written inscription (Found in a drawer mounted on a piece of my dress worn to Ascot the year I was presented at court in 1933 as J. Briscoe-George & Lacon....The sampler is stitched onto a piece of fabric which must be the piece of dress mentioned....The frame isn't great, but I wanted to keep it altogether because of that inscription, as it's an interesting piece of history....The quality of the sampler is very good and I can see a cherub in the top left and right corners, a squirrel, two eagles and other details as well....The age of the young lady who did this sampler is not known, but most of these were done at a young age of around ten....No two samplers can ever be exactly the same as they are totally hand made and original....If you like genuine early needlework samplers then you won't be disappointed with this charming piece....This sampler will be packed in a custom made wooden box to ensure it's safe arrival....AIRMAIL DELIVERY TO ALL PARTS OF THE USA, PARTS OF CANADA & AUSTRALIA WILL BE $30, AND ITEMS USUALLY ARRIVE WITHIN A FEW DAYS....Payment can be with paypal from customers with CONFIRMED and VERIFIED PAYPAL ACCOUNTS....Please check your paypal account status....Collection in person is not available, this item must be mailed to a verified address....Please email with any questions and thanks for looking in today.........
