Vintage mid 20th century Scottish made Celtic sword design souvenir pin. C1950's.
This is a high quality item fashioned from sterling silver by the renowned Scottish Highlands silversmiths Medlock and Craik around the 1950's. A good heavy sturdy pin to suit thicker winter weight fabrics. Marked on the back with M&C which is this makers mark and on the other side of the pommel, with INVSS which is an abbreviation of Inverness.
The highlands of Scotland , of which Inverness is the unofficial capital, have been for some time now, a hub for luxury goods and this nicely designed pin is a good example.
