We are offering a sterling silver butter spreader in the "Sir Christopher" pattern by Wallace (1936). This flat handle butter spreader is solid silver (not hollow handled) and measures 6-3/8". It is monogram free.
The designer of this ornate and beautiful pattern was William Warren. He "conceived the idea of three-dimensional flatware patterns for which the Wallace Co. is noted and designed Sir Christopher in 1936." R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. was formed on July 17, 1871 with Robert Wallace, his two sons and a son-in-law as members of the firm. Robert Wallace had been active in the production of German silver spoons since 1834.
We have a total of three available.
