This adorable antique character baby is 18” tall and was made by JD Kestner doll firm in the early 1900’s.
The doll has beautiful solid dome bisque head with very realistic deep modeling, painted features and rare intaglio Brown eyes. Bent limb baby body is made of composition and quite heavy. The doll’s head is marked with number 14 on the nape of the neck. This is very common with some early solid dome heads made by Kestner at the time.
The head and the body is in excellent condition.
