Antique Pair Silver Plate 5 Light Candelabra Candlesticks Wilcox Silverplate Co., as is

Beautiful Antique pair of ornate five light silverplated candelabra. They are each marked on the underside of the base with a round mark reading "Quadruple Plate, Wilcox Silverplate Co., Meriden, Conn". There is also the number "2752". They both have matching removable bobeches that I believe are original to the candlesticks. The bobeches protect the rest of the candlesticks from dripping wax and being removable makes them easier to clean. These candlesticks date from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The Wilcox company joined International Silver Co. and the mark in the 1920's included their name. This pattern candlestick was continued to be made by International Silver Co. and the pattern was called "Rococo".

Height - one is 10 1/4" and the other is slightly shorter being 10 1/8".
Width - approximately 9'.
The diameter of the openings for the candles is approximately 7/8”.

Condition: They are both repaired and I believe re-plated. One has a small hole on the center stem below the middle candle holder. The hole has been partially filled with some sort of greyish material and this grey material is covering some of the silverplating around the hole and on the ornate collar below the hole. The other candlestick has had one of the arms put back on at the joint where the arm meets the stem. If you look, you can see a glob of silver metal around the joint where it has been probably re-soldered. This candlestick also has some bubbling of the silverplating on the underside of the base. I believe this bubbling is a defect of the re-plating. Both candelabra have some slight defects in the silverplating, some small black spots that won't polish off and some very slight nicks. These are a large and impressive pair that look great but with some defects that have been priced accordingly.

They are carefully packed. Shipping within the USA includes insurance, tracking and signature required delivery confirmation others please email and all of these service aren't available with all shipping options to other countries.
