The Italian province of Arezzo in Tuscany, Italy is one of the most important gold jewellery manufacturing centres in the world. There is evidence of Etruscan jewellery made there in the 6th century BC. In the 14th century it became a centre for artisanal jewellery, evolving to specialise in religious jewellery with papal patronage. It blossomed in the 19th and 20th centuries with around 1200 jewellery companies operating there at present. Arezzo has a long tradition of innovation and artisanal designs and work methods continuing until today.
This unusual, fancy link chain is fully hallmarked with 750 for Italian 18 karat gold. It features AR mark for Arezzo as well as a company registration mark. It has been made after 1968 and features a Mid-Century inspired design. The links are 2.76 mm wide and the chain weighs 1.7 grams. It is 16.5 inches long and in fabulous condition.
We love ..... different and unusual, lovely quality jewellery. We think the artisanal 70's vibes of this chain rock the Italian style !
