Well, hello there !
Welcome to your sapphire dreams come true !! This most gorgeous Victorian beauty is here to wow you with its magic.
It is a creation of an English Victorian jeweller and hails from around 1880. The five graduating blue sapphires of Ceylon origin are gracefully set in rose gold prong settings. The sapphires are bright, sparkly and full of life ! They have a degree of the colour change quality. They are of gorgeous, bright blue tone in daylight which develops lilac-purple tones in an artificial yellow light. Unfortunately we can't show you that change in our photos as the camera flash creates daylight conditions so you we can only capture the blue tone. We have a verbal confirmation of a qualified gemologist that they are natural, no heat and of Ceylon origin. One of the gems on the far side is a little lighter in colour than others looking from a certain angle, but identical to the remaining sapphires from other angles. The stones are most certainly original and cut from the same fabulous material, it is just a matter of colour distribution in the gems. It is not very noticeable at all when the ring is worn, as it is a real firework; a riot of sparkles and the colour change in the light and movement. The gems are estimated to weigh 3.08 carats in total.
The ring is beautifully hand crafted in rose gold, lovely and rather unusual to see, adding the extra magic to the lively gems ! It is not hallmarked and tests as 18 karat gold. The top of the ring measures 0.77 inches side to side and 0.25 inches north to south. It is size US 5 7/8-6 1/8 or UK L 1/2- M 1/4, a little wiggle room there in the sizing due to the shape of the shank. It can be sized up or down within reason. It weighs 2.3 grams and is in wonderful condition.
We love ........ this unusual beauty so much, for the gorgeous, fine rose gold shank and her lovely style. The sapphires are stunning and their dance of colour spectacularly magical.....
