The finest and most beautiful wedding bands were produced in the 1920's. The platinum jewellery become fashionable at the end of the Edwardian era and it's use allowed for the fine detail to be executed very precisely. They were fantastically suited for the purpose too, as any decorations applied were not rubbed off with the constant use like gold ones would have been. As most rings had their gemstones set, most of the time in platinum ( even the gold rings ) the wedding bands made the engagement rings stand out and looked fabulous together.
This fantastic Art Deco wedding band is made in a stylish, of the time, squared off shape, featuring ten sections, all finely engraved with a fern leaf, the symbol of sincerity and love. It is English in origin and hallmarked PLATINUM on the inside. The band is 2 mm wide and weighs 2.9 grams. It is size US 10,5 or UK U 1/2 and cannot be re-sized due to it's shape. It is suitable to be worn by both ladies and gents and would make a lovely set with our item number ER-648 which is a size Us 5.75 or UK L 1/4.
We love........the gorgeous, geometric Art Deco design of this wedding band and the fine quality engraving all the way around it. We love how you can say I do so beautifully with the fern......
