The most wonderful pop of dreamy turquoise framed by the bright twinkle of those plump rose cut diamonds make this ring a star of a charmer !!
This fine antique beauty was crafted in the late Victorian era Continental Europe, judging by the style and workmanship, around 1890. The rich yellow gold used is the perfect complement to the colours of it's gems. It is not hallmarked, so we had the ring tested for gold content and it is 18 carat gold. The long oval shape is superbly elegant and so flattering on your hand, substantial and unmissable but not over large. The colours look fabulous on all skin tones. It elongates your fingers in the most magic of ways. The beautifully proportioned, cabochon cut turquoise is of mid blue colour, the hue of sweet Forget-Me-Nots. The rose cut diamonds are high cut, slightly greyish in the pretty antique way and amazingly bright and lively, glistening with icy white flashes of light with every movement of your hand.
The face of the ring measures 0.8 by 0.42 inches and it is size US 6.75 and UK size N 1/2, easily sized smaller and it could be adjusted up a few sizes too, please check with us before purchasing to make sure it will be a perfect fit for you. It weighs 4.6 grams. The natural turquoise displays some veining at the reverse side of the stone and a couple of tiny points of it on the front, which does not detract from it's beauty. The bright yellow shank tapers down smoothly from the ridged shoulders, adding a little interest but not detracting from the main star of this blue and twinkly show.
We love.......how pretty and feminine this lovely ring is. There is lightness and brightness about it that will make you think of a sunshiny summer's day.........in any weather.
