These classic vintage earrings date from around 1950.
Their 18 carat white gold tops are not hallmarked so we tested them to confirm the gold content. They are set with three white and bright baguette diamonds each, measuring on average 3.4 by 2.3 mm. The total diamond weight is estimated at 0.6 carats. The large golden pearls are suspended from the diamond set streamlined and simple tops. They sit neatly on your ears with pearls moving elegantly - a lovely compromise between a full swing and static. The superb quality pearls are cultured and have a beautiful light golden tone with great lustre and no blemishes. It is fantastically flattering on all skin tones and the contrast between the colour of the pearls and the silvery witness of the diamond tops is most attractive. They measure 10.02 and 10.13 mm, a lovely match. The earrings are 1 inch long and weigh 4.1 grams excluding the butterfly fittings. These are 9 carat gold and probably a later replacement and they can be interchanged to an alternative fittings easily.
We love..... the elegant look of these earrings. We love the large size and the wonderful colour, not to mention the fine quality of the pearls. You can dress them up or down and we think they are the golden ticket......
