As Victorian rings go....... this one is pretty special! Although the design is a popular classic it has the touch of magic about it.
The fine stripes of dark blue enamel make for such dainty design, prettily feminine and fresh. The natural half pearls are pristine and the delicate lines of the enamel emphasise their lustrous beauty. The little rose cut diamond at the centre twinkles gently so that the effect is total perfection - nothing to add and nothing to take away.
Created in Birmingham, England in 1864, it has a full set of hallmarks, with the city mark and 18 for 18 carat gold, so lovely to see. The gold is of warm, buttery tone and that looks just luscious with the colours of the gems and the enamel. The ring is size UK M 1/4 and US size just over 6. It would be rather difficult to adjust the size because of the enamel and without disturbing the hallmarks - and they are gorgeous too ! :)
The top of the ring ( the decorated part ) measures 0.73 inches and 0.3 inches north to south. It weighs 2.7 grams and is in a fantastic condition.
We love....... the elegant and unfussy look of this Victorian beauty.....her quiet, opulent angelic charm without the frilly stuff. She is stunningly stylish ....is she like you?
