This long French chain is exceptional, both in design and quality. These chains were in high fashion and many were produced in France around the turn of the 19th and 20th century but you only see the special ones once in a while.
You can feel all this fabulousness when you hold this chain in your hand; the opulent and precious chunky weight of gold of deep and rich yellow hue. The scrolled, diamond shaped sections are finely executed with a wonderful precision. They are interspersed by five double scrolled round links each. This detail adds depth and contrast to the flat diamond shapes. The pattern is repeated close together, concentrating the weight of the chain and this makes it hang so superbly when worn. It feels substantial and looks expensive and rich.
It is 53 inches long and hallmarked with the French eagle mark for 18 carat gold. Each diamond section measures 8.7 by 5.2 mm and the thickness of the round link is 2.6 mm. It weighs 26.3 grams. The chain has an opening bolt ring so that you can put your charms and pendants on it. Equally you can wear it alone, or layered with other chains and necklaces. You also have an option of wearing it as a single long chain, double it or triple for a shorter look. Either way it is simply stunning and it's undeniable quality shines through.
We love ........ items of quality. They have this amazing ability of making you feel more fantastic every time you wear them and this never gets old or boring. You just know you are wearing the special and uncommon and feel like the treasure you truly are......
