This super stylish bracelet hails from Birmingham, England and was made in 1913.
It is fashioned in 9 carat rose gold and fully hallmarked, hence we can provide you with the date and city of it's manufacture. It is also stamped with it's makers mark LW&C. 9 carat gold is sturdy and rigid, much more so than 18 carat gold. It is much less prone to getting dented and therefore perfect for making of jewellery such as this lovely bangle - hollow inside -it weighs just 13.8 grams. This one survived over 100 years of use in perfect condition.
It is hinged with a nice clasp that shuts with a perfect snap and has a 9 carat gold safety chain. The hammered design is very much and Arts and Crafts influence and creates a lovely effect when the light hits it - have a look at our photos - it gets it's own halo of light !
The bangle is a large size and has an inner circumference of 9 3/8 inches. It is very easy to put on because the hinge makes it open wide. It is 7.3 mm wide and 5 mm thick with nicely rounded smooth shape. I looks stunning worn on your arm too !
We love ...... the hammered, snake like design and the smooth and sleek look. We love how wearable and contemporary it is, to be worn alone or complement other bangles in a perfect jingle on your arm.
