These Edwardian paste earrings are such fun!
Made around 1910 in England they represent a more affordable jewellery of the times. The wonderful thing is that the Edwardian design, the superb engineering and quality of workmanship is all there. The precious metals, gold and silver are there too, so is the fabulous look. The diamonds and coloured stones have been replaced with paste stones, but the attention to detail is fantastic and the cut and polish on the stones is just like it would be on the precious stones.
The earrings provide a great dangle at 2.16 inches in length. The blue paste drops, which are the colour of blue zircon measure 0.69 by 0.4 inches. They are articulated so move beautifully together with you. Designed with a bow at the top with a row of white paste stones they are feminine, sweet and charming. The chunky high cut pastes are set in closed back settings with the mille grained edge. This means we would not recommend swimming or showering with them on so the water does not get behind the pastes.
The earrings weigh a super comfortable 5.2 grams together and feature 9 carat gold hook fastenings. They are not hallmarked but have been carefully tested.
We love ...... the bright and happy feeling you get wearing these ! They sparkle and charm and brighten your day - literally. We love them.....they say it's spring !! even in the winter.
