This lovely Art Deco diamond engagement ring was made in England around 1930.
Full hallmarks, 18 ct Plat tell us it tell us that the buttery yellow band and shoulders with their chenier detail are made out of 18 carat gold. The diamond claw setting as well as the mille grain setting for the side stones are platinum. The centre stone, a transition cut diamond measuring 4.07 mm diameter ( H, SI1 ) we estimate to be 0.23 carats ( there is a little, rubbed out engraving on the inside of the band ending with 3…..so it might be the stone size, 0.23 carats). The four single cut diamonds set in the shoulders are roughly 0.02 carat each, making the estimated total weigh of 0.3 carats. The ring measures 0.50 inches across the finger , including the decorated shoulders and sits 5.39 mm up off the finger. It is size US 5 7/8 or UK L 1/2 and can be re-sized easily.
We love............this Art Deco classic ! A ring made to be worn daily and forever with the wedding band in total harmony, made to show off the lovely, sparkly diamond to perfection….……..so will you say I do ??
