Will your heart melt looking at those hearts ?? Ours did ! As soon as we saw these vivid blue enamel beauties with fine white enamel surround we were sold. The rose diamonds twinkling gently in their star settings set our hearts on these hearts.

The hearts are antique components hallmarked with London mark for 1895, "18" for 18 karat gold and a makers mark for one George Heath who registered his jewellery making business in 1884. We have added contemporary 9 karat gold, lovely quality hoop fittings, which hug the earlobe just right and are very secure. Their internal measurement is 9.08 mm side to side and 8.41 mm north to south. They look fantastic with the heart drops and show them off beautifully while being super comfortable to wear. They also mach the colour of the yellow gold and complement the antique hearts style wise to perfection. The total length of the earrings is 13mm and their width is 10 mm. They weigh 3.3 grams together.

Their blue Guilloche enamel is stunning, beautifully lustrous, deep and vibrant royal blue with a a fine opaque white enamel edging for a perfect contrasting detail. The gold work is equally intricate with the finest of chasing along the border and a beautifully crafted star setting for the rose cut diamond centres. You will never see that attention to detail and mastery of the craft in modern jewellery and we just love this, the skill and effort that went into antique pieces is unmatched.

We would like to point out that there are some fine, shallow scratches to the surface glaze of the enamel. They are not chips and are so shallow that they do not reach the layers of the enamel containing the colour. They can be seen when the earrings are turned in a specific way towards the camera flash, or with the jewellers loupe. We captured this with one of our photos and you can see this in magnification. This is not seen in normal light conditions at all and the enamel appears to be perfect. Otherwise the earrings are in great antique condition.
