Those darling cluster earrings are so sweet and charming, they make your heart melt !

They were hand crafted in Vienna, Austro-Hungarian Empire around 1900-1910. They are hallmarked with "A, head of Fox, 4" which was a 14 karat Vienna hallmark used between 1872 and 1922 and a maker's mark "HD" for Heinrich Dittrich, Vienna, from 1894 on until 1920.

These sweet little heart breakers are fashioned in the shape of a cluster of twinkly rose cut diamonds with a further rose diamond at the top and set with an oval, cabochon cut natural turquoise at the centre of the clusters. The turquoises are the most gorgeous, vibrant, forget-me-not blue! The photos show them as differing somewhat in colour but they only show this difference in the bright lights of our camera. In natural light the difference is negligible, not really visible.

The ear settings, our favourite, are called dormeuse from the fact that they are so comfortable to wear that you can sleep in them ! They are also wonderfully flattering as they sit just underneath your ear lobe adding a great definition to your lovely face, longer than stud earrings but not danglers - they carry you beautifully from your busy day into the glamorous evening.

The clusters measure 9.22 by 7.58 mm and the earrings total length is 15.77 mm. Together they weigh 2.9 grams, light and super comfortable to wear. Their antique condition is lovely. One of the turquoises shows a little veining on one side, and both do at the reverse of the stones. This is not a fault but a common characteristic of natural turquoise. As a matter of fact it proves that the turquoise is natural and not treated or synthetic.

We love ....... those dreamy Edwardian era earrings, they pulse the vibe of turn of the century Vienna in such a beautiful way. We just cannot get over how adorable they are with their sentimental air of love and forget-me-not romance !
