We are just loving these antique hoop earrings !

They are hand crafted in the Georgian Regency era, around 1820-1830, most likely in the continental Europe. Their style points to Italy as their most likely origin. Their design is reminiscent of the French Poissarde style, they are just so incredibly attractive. Their workmanship is fantastic with the intricate scroll and wirework in scrumptious, rich yellow gold.

The earrings are not hallmarked and we had them professionally tested, they are 12 karat gold. They are decorated with wire strung natural pearl clusters at the front and a row of pearls to the side. Their antique patina differs a little bit, with one slightly more yellow than the other, but this is more pronounced in the flash of the camera. In natural light the difference is negligible and it is most certainly not noticeable when they are worn.

The earrings are a lovely size - 28.55 mm wide and 33.18 mm long. The pearl set cluster fronts are 10.44 mm wide. They weigh a very comfortable 6.7 grams together. They are front closing and the mechanism is nice and secure. They are in wonderful antique condition and despite the finest of work they are solid and sturdy.
