Pearls were the most popular gems for engagement and wedding jewellery in the Georgian period. They were a romantic symbol of innocence, purity and harmony, the perfect and sentimental expression of love.

We cherish these wonderful, scarce Georgian pearl eternity rings for their graceful charm and beauty. They have the timeless appeal and are much sought after as the most beautiful stackers. This one here is a particularly gorgeous example. We adore the incredibly beautiful shank and the quality and fineness of the workmanship. And those cut down pinched colets are just delightful!

She dates back to circa 1810 England and is not hallmarked, as is often the case with these darlings. We confirmed her gold content by testing. She is 9 karat rose gold, of gloriously pale, so very Georgian hue. The natural split pearls range from champagne to copper to moonlit grey and there are two creamy whites, which are later replacements - the others are original. The pearls are on average 3.25 mm in diameter.

Her pearly highness is 4.35 mm wide and sits 2.22 mm off the top of the finger. She is US size 7-7.5 and UK size P-P 1/2 and of course is not re-sizable . She weighs 2 grams and is in lovely antique condition. The natural split pearls show a wee bit of wear and change in colouring that happens gradually over time and which can be expected due to her age. It is a part of her antique charm.
