What a dainty, pretty Edwardian charmer, bursting with vivid pink and turquoise blue on rich yellow gold. Summer is here !

She is fully hallmarked, crafted in 1900 in Birmingham, England by a company called S Blanckensee & Son. The company was registered first in 1879 and traded from Frederick Street & Great Hampton Street in Birmingham. She is also hallmarked with "625" and 15 for 15 karat gold.

We love her very flattering and stackable half hoop design, low on the finger and easy to wear. She is a small size, US 4 1/4 (UK I) and although she looks to have had a small size adjustment in her past, we would not recommend that it is done again. It is so, that the lovely, full set of hallmarks remains undisturbed. Due to the width of the band she makes a beautiful and fully secure pinky ring. I am wearing her as I write this and she looks beautiful on !

Her design is adorable, simple yet richly decorated. The setting for the gemstones is slightly raised and surrounded by fine rope-work. Due to the angle of the camera one of the four ropes appears to be missing, but this is not the case. She is in great antique condition. The natural cabochon rubies are deep, intense pink, typical of Burma rubies and they look gorgeous with the vivid turquoises. All so very opulent and feminine in deep yellow gold. Another note, the photos make the gold appear shaded around the band but the colour looks even in natural light conditions, its only that the flash of the camera is causing this illusion.

She weighs 3 grams. Her face is 5.6 mm north to south, the gemstones in settings stretch 16.42 mm across your finger up to the outer edge of the ruby settings. The band at the back narrows to 3.15 mm.

We love ..... the pairing of the vivid, intense colours and the charm and the gorgeous design of this ring. We wonder, is it time for a vacation ?? because we see the pink bougainvillea trees and the turquoise waters of ocean in this ring ?
