Exquisite Vintage 14K Yellow & White Gold Diamond & Amethyst articulated dangle Clip Earrings

Featuring open-back faceted bezel set Amethyst stones (14mm x 17mm at bottom, and 9mm x 12mm at top). Down the center are white gold teardrop shaped sections that each have a 10pt diamond in the center, as well as across the top of the Large Amethyst at bottom, are 3 more 10pt diamonds, a total of 5 diamonds on each earring. Substantial in size and weight, true beauties guaranteed to dazzle and be the envy of your friends.

The Amethyst stones have the most wonderful color, very rich, beautiful stones. Because these are not marked, and even though I tested with acid and concluded they are at least 14K Gold, I took these to my jeweler to verify.

It appears the backs were changed at some point. Perhaps the clip style previously was not as comfortable or secure as these. Which, by the way, are extremely secure and comfortable. Nice snap and firm hold.
