Quintessential 1920’s Art Deco Flapper Necklace
This stunner checks all the boxes for the perfect example of genuine Art Deco Jewelry from the “Jazz Age”
Both feminine and swanky, this beauty features a delicate open-link chain speckled with genuine creamy cultured pearls varying in number along the full length of the chain, and terminating with a spring-ring clasp.
Suspended from the chain, is a luscious Tassel Pendant. The bale and rim of the pendant are adorned with genuine marcasites, and the pendant features a glossy black enameled hood. Beneath the hood and threaded through a grate of sorts at the base of the hood are multiple strands of genuine pearls graduating in size. Over the years, a few strands have been lost but this is only evident if you turn the pendant over and look under the ‘hood’. I do have one of the strands that I will include with purchase should some day the new owner wish to replace the missing strands.
This is an heirloom piece that is sure to be cherished for decades to come.
See the last photo for an example of this necklace design done in platinum and diamonds for over $8K!
The chain is hallmarked but I cannot make it out. It does test for sterling silver.
