1950s BOUCHER Rose of Seville FLOWER Figural Rhinestone PIN Bonus Single Earring
Stunning dimensional lattice or honeycomb black enamel & rhinestone encrusted edged Figural Rose Brooch/Pin Plus a bonus of a Single Earring, set in rhodium plating by Marcel Boucher. The stem consists of clear baguettes.
Marcel Boucher started in the jewelry business working as an apprentice model-maker for Cartier in Paris. Later designing for the Mazer Brothers and then starting his own company in 1937. Boucher jewelry is coveted by collectors all over the world. His jewelry is considered absolute master pieces resembling fine gem jewelry.
This set is known as the "Rose of Seville”.
The design number is 3444 and the earrings are 3445. The patent # is 161240 issued on December 19th, 1950 (see patent drawing photo below).
Measurements & Hallmarks:
The brooch measures 1 7/8" wide and 2 1/2" tall and is hallmarked "Boucher", "Pat. Pend", and “3444”
The SINGLE signed clip earring measures 1" wide and 1 3/8" tall and is hallmarked "Pat.Pend" and “3445"
