Classic "Modernist" style motif of the Seine river, Romanesque bridge, and walkway.
"Modernist" means that all the shapes, elements, and objects are reduced to their most basic and simple forms. In other words, it leaves out as much detail as possible, when Representative puts in as much detail as possible. Making up for detail is color. Modernist works from the 1930s, 40s and 50s are notable for their more pastel colors, establishing a subjective, mood, and emotion. Hence the reason why the Seine is green, and the bridge pink.
