Szonyi Istvan, Hungarian 1894-1960 - Awarded the Righteous Among the Nations in 1984 for hiding Jews during the war.

This mythic motif of village life was strongly influenced by the 16th century Brueghel family of engravers, as were many of his other 200 engravings and etchings. Szonyi contributed greatly to the development of Hungarian graphic arts in the 1920's.
