E. V. Bogh (Edward Villiam), 1877 - 1938, was noted for his colorful landscapes, as befitting a former student of Kristian Zahrtmann. Zahrtmann was famous for his colorful motifs, daring for its time and highly unusual in figurative work. He was also a highly regarded Professor at the Royal Academy. E.V. was never quite as famous as his mentor but he did enjoy 33 shows at the Royal academy, and won three notable prizes.
