Over the past five years I have handled quite a few of Edward Goldman's original work. A prolific New England artist and printmaker his styles varied from Abstract and Modernist, to straight impressionism. I have always liked his Modernist work most. This is one of those and one of the finest I have come across. Titled in pen on the back of the stretcher, it says that it is a harbor in Maine. I dont know where but I actually think it looks more like Star Island of New Hampshire in the Isle of Shoals.
