These iconic Art Deco "hoops and balls" bookends in symmetrical double ring form were designed by Walter Von Nessen in the 1930s for the Chase Brass & Copper Co.
Hand cast in copper and brass, they feature an outer dark patinated copper and inner polished brass ring on a streamlined rectangular base with three ball finials. In very nice vintage condition, they measure 5 1/4” x 5". Marked Chase with impressed Orion figure.
