William Curry (1927-1971) was an esteemed American designer whose iconic award-winning MidCentury pieces have been showcased in several museum exhibits. Curry began his career as an art director, and founded the Design Line home furnishings company in 1962.
These wonderful, rarely seen bookends are comprised of eight 1 1/4” cubes attached to form larger cubes. They measure 3 3/4” and weigh 8 pounds. Crafted of black coated metal, they are in very good vintage condition with a few small chips to the finish. Both bookends bear the original Design Line labels. Listed elsewhere for $1400.
