These iconic Art Deco bookends designed by Walter von Nessen in the 1930s, are highly prized architectural pieces of design history. Crafted by the Chase Brass & Copper Co. founded in 1876, both bookends bear the impressed Chase Orion mark. A nice example of the rarely seen early satin brass and blackened nickel finish, they feature three concentric arches on a rectangular base. In very good vintage condition, they measure 5 3/4" x 4 1/4" x 2 3/4". A wonderful set at a great value.
