These wonderful Art Deco/Machine Age bookends were designed by Walter Von Nessen for the Chase Copper and Brass Co. in the 1930s. Each is comprised of a substantial copper coil or spiral on a brass rectangular block, mounted on a copper base. They measure 4 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" wide x 2 3/4" deep. In excellent condition with original felt pads on bottom, marked with Chase Orion figure.
