Allan Adler (1916-2002) was an American silversmith inspired by the Modernist art movement of the early 1900s. In the 1940s, Adler was commissioned to design mini-Oscars for Academy Award winners, crowns for Miss USA and Miss Universe, and silver bowls, candlesticks, and goblets for Hollywood celebrities, earning him the moniker "silversmith to the stars".
This custom Adler sterling silver salad serving set is a variation of his Swedish Modern pattern, and weighs 192 grams. Both the spoon with oval pointed bowl and the fork with two tulip-shaped tines have long hand-hammered handles and measure 10 1/4' long. In excellent condition with no monograms or repairs, this beautiful set would compliment any holiday table. Hallmarked Allan Adler Handmade Sterling.
