Ibe Dahlquist (1924-1996), one of Sweden’s most prominent contemporary silversmiths, received her training at the Konstfackskolen (School of Arts, Crafts, and Design) in Stockholm. She began designing Modernist jewelry for the Georg Jensen Silversmithy in 1965. Her work has appeared in many exhibitions, and is on display in Goldsmiths’ Hall, London, and in many Swedish museums.
This beautiful sterling silver bracelet, design 172, is a rarely seen piece in extraordinary condition. Comprised of 12 sculptural links, it closes securely with a hidden hook and includes a safety chain. It measures 7” long x 3/4” wide, fully hallmarked with Georg Jensen dotted oval, 925S Denmark, 172. The bracelet comes in a Georg Jensen pouch with an extra link. A highly collectible piece.
