Master silversmith William Spratling was a true Renaissance man....artist, architect, author, teacher and businessman instrumental in the revival of the silver trade in Mexico. These beautiful, rarely seen earrings feature an iconic square design also used in cuff links. Crafted of sterling silver in Spratling's Taxco studio in the early 1940s, these highly collectible earrings are in excellent condition with functional screwbacks. Each earring measures just shy of 1" in length and width x 1/4” deep. One is marked with WS script circle (Spratling Made in Mexico), the other has oval Spratling Silver mark.
