Bob Bennett (1928-2003) was a listed artist and owner of a foundry and several galleries with his twin brother, Tom. In 1974, he began to produce distinctive cast bronze sculptures, counting Presidents George Bush and Gerald Ford, Pope John II, Clint Eastwood, and Tony Bennett among the collectors of his work.
In 1984, Bennett created these abstract "Cycle" bookends in an organic, flowing form. Both signed and numbered #37 of 250, each stands 8" long x 4" wide x 6 1/2" tall. Gallery pricing for this pair was $1750 in 2013. Excellent condition. Certificate of authenticity and care instructions are included.
