These are exquisite Coro pieces. This line is referred to as Honore' . The brooch signature has been obscured by heavy gold plating.
The brooch alone is shown in Fred Rezazadeh book Costume Jewelry 2006 values on page 62. Adolph Katz was responsible for selecting and acquiring the designs then used by head Designer Gene Verrecchia for Coro.
SIGNATURE & ERA: The earrings are signed CORO with no copyright mark, so that dates this lovely set prior to 1955.
CONDITION: This set is in excellent condition. It is VERY Clean. All stones are present and sparkly bright, plus the gold tone metal looks brand new. Includes multiply sizes, shapes and colors of rhinestones. There are light and dark shades of canary yellow, topaz, green, blue, purple and white or clear.
SIZE: The brooch measures 1 ¾" across and the earrings are a clip back and measure 1 ½" as they flair up the ear. All clasps, clips and fasteners are in great working order. Coro just does not get any better than this set.
I just recently sold a similar set, which also included a necklace, and was just astounded when I found this brooch and earrings while traveling to Texas. It is my favorite Coro design, and sure to delight the new owner.
Your purchase will arrive in a lovely gift box.
