This is an early 1940's Coro "Sterling Craft" brooch with a gold plating. It features a large amethyst color rhinestone. Depending on the light, this gorgeous stone takes on a deep brownish-purple to true purple hue.

CONDITION: Very good pre-owned condition. The gold plating is bright and clean with very little wear. The rhinestone is clean, and clear. The clasp is secure.
SIZE: Boldly constructed with large striking details. Measures 2 1/2" wide and 1/2" high.
HISTORY: Coro, the company, was in business from approx. 1900 until 1979 in the US, and until about 1990 in Canada.
