I have seen this pattern described as Platinum Band or Simplicity. First made in 1950, the Encanto patterns enjoyed some of Franciscan's heaviest advertising, and featured elegant lines of mid-century modern simplicity.
Please remember, this is not the heavy earthenware Franciscan pottery that most people are used to. This is china and has a very retro feel to it.
This pattern of china came in the most luscious colors, including a blush pink, barely there blue, a serene khaki green and of course this white. So you could mix and match or just use one shade.
CONDITION: This is a perfect cup and saucer in excellent condition. It is a soft creamy white color on the saucer and outside of the cup. The interior is also a soft creamy white. The platinum trim is 100% there.
SIZE: This cup measures 4" across the saucer measures 6" across.
I have a large number of Gladding McBean pieces, in a variety of colors, please email to see if I have what you are looking for in stock. I have not individually listed all these pieces.
