This is a beauty! I guarantee this to be an antique. ( Modern pieces showing some age are now out on the marketplace. )
This is a Blue Onion pattern flowing blue stoneware rolling pin with wooden handles.
This pattern was also called the “bulb pattern” with the center flower described as an aster, peony or chrysanthemum.
This pattern made famous by Meissen, but it was also made by other German manufacturers
MARKS: It is signed and marked in several places, but I can not identify these marks which is partially missing.
SIZE: It measures 14 1/2" long including the finely carved handles. The stoneware body is 6 3/8" long.
CONDITION: This stoneware is in great condition. There is only very minor chipping on the edges, which is to be expected.
I had to magnify the flaws greatly in order to get them to show up in the pictures. One small glaze pop on the main body.

There are some old stress cracks in the wooden handle, but it is very much intact.
This rolling pin is shown in the 1997 book "Wallace Homestead Guide to Country Antiques on pg. 31.
