This NILOAK vase was made with a matt finish in light green.
The name NILOAK came from the reverse of the word KAOLIN which
has to do with the type of clay used in its production.
SIZE: 6 " high by 5" wide at the base of the handles.
CONDITION: There is some staining from water. There are no chips, no cracks, and no hairlines.
The finish appears uneven but this was part of the manufacturing process.
HISTORY: In 1910 Eagle Pottery became NILOAK Pottery Co.,
and became closely connected to the tail-end Mission Arts and Crafts movement.
This pottery was made from 1910 until 1944.
