Vintage NAPIER Multi Color Moonglow Fruit Charm "Tropicana" Bracelet. This bracelet still looks great!! All of the beads are Lucite, and are commonly called moonglow beads. They look like they are glowing from the inside!
The colors include shades of blue, purple, orange, green, pink, magenta and beige. Detailed filigree gold tone leaf shaped caps top these luscious beads, and add great detail.
ERA: 1950's early 1960's.
MARKS: Signed Napier on the clasps.
CONDITION: Very very fine pre-owned condition with glossy fruits! There is one common flaw. Unfortunately, there is one fruit missing. The gold tone leaves are there but the one cherry is missing from the "cherry charm."
When being worn this is not noticeable, but when spread out to be viewed it is. Otherwise it is in great condition, and any marks seen in the pictures on the moonglow fruits are from my camera reflection.
SIZE: The bracelet measures about 8" long, and the longest charms measure approximately 2" long.
History: NAPIER is the Napier-Bliss Co. of Meriden, CT. They were in business from 1875 (as Bliss) until October 1999...... the name changed to Napier Company in 1922. Now in business as Jones New York but the jewelry is not the same quality. Unsigned jewelry now comes on cards marked Napier.
