Vintage Miriam Haskell Memory Wire Glass Bracelet – Blue Opalescent Glass and Rhinestone Wrap Bracelet
This is an early unsigned Miriam Haskell periwinkle blue and opalescent glass dangle bead wrap bracelet. It is artfully accented with rhinestone center flowers.
These are also called memory wire bracelets and are adjustable to fit most. Easy on and off because it opens up.
SIGNATURES/MARKS: Unsigned. None of the early Haskell Jewelry was signed. It was not until 1947 that Miriam Haskell signed her jewelry.
CONDITION: Very very fine pre-owned condition. This is a feminine stunning bracelet.
SIZE: 7" long x 13/16" wide. Easily fits most average size wrists. I have shown it being worn for size reference.
HISTORY: Miriam Haskell began business in 1924 when she came from Indiana to NYC and opened a shop. She started the Miriam Haskell Company in 1926. No jewelry was marked in any permanent way from 1926 until 1947, and only occasionally marked from 1947 until 1949. Haskell sold her business in 1954 to Frank Hess and Morris Kensler, and it has had various owners since then. The company is still in business today.
