This is an early Miriam Haskell glass pearl bracelet. It features 3 strand with gold chain and pearl strands and a fancy floral clasp. This is an intricate design with baroque glass pearls, glass seed pearls, and rhinestones.
CONDITION: It is in fairly good condition with some discoloration on the Russian gold spacers between the glass pearls; I have shown this clearly in the pictures. The clasp snaps tightly shut with a nice click.
SIZE: Measures 7" to 7-1/4" long.
MARKS / SIGNATURES: It is signed on the back of the clasp.
HISTORY: Miriam Haskell began business in 1924 when she came from Indiana to NYC and opened a shop. She started the Miriam Haskell Company in 1926. No jewelry was marked in any permanent way from 1926 until 1947, and only occasionally marked from 1947 until 1949. Haskell sold her business in 1954 to Frank Hess and Morris Kensler, and it has had various owners since then. The company is still in business today.
