Unusual and rare ...... You will not find these for sale all over the place!!
These are gorgeous vintage Miriam Haskell baroque pearl and rhinestone earrings. These earrings feature tiny glass baroque pearls, a large baroque pearl, and sparkly rhinestones with stamped leaves and swirls that reflect a gold color finish.
This finish is frequently called Russian Gold. A Russian gold finish is a matte, antique-look finish. Miriam Haskell jewelry often has a Russian gold plated finish.
They have the adjustable comfort clip. The screw back allows you to finely adjust the clip closure for maximum comfort.
Each piece of Miriam Haskell jewelry is entirely hand made. The detailing, filigree, layering, and original stones attest to the fine hand wired construction techniques used by Miriam Haskell jewelry makers.
SIGNATURES: The clip backs are signed Haskell, and the round base is also signed.
CONDITION: Very very fine pre-owned condition. The nacre on the pearls looks good too. Light pealing on one of the tiny glass pearls. The rhinestones are sparkly and there is very little wear to the Russian gold findings. The backs show the lightest bit darkening.... but still gorgeous!
SIZE: 1-1/8” by 1-1/8” and weigh 17.8g.
HISTORY: Miriam Haskell began business in 1924 when she came from Indiana to NYC and opened a shop. She started the Miriam Haskell Company in 1926. No jewelry was marked in any permanent way from 1926 until 1947, and only occasionally marked from 1947 until 1949. Haskell sold her business in 1954 to Frank Hess and Morris Kensler, and it has had various owners since then. The company is still in business today.
