This is a stunning parure. The glass beads are vibrant, and include shades of the colors turquoise, lapis lazuli blue, and jade green. A sturdy gold plated chain holds the look together beautifully. There is substantial weight to this set because it is NOT plastic.
The chain style and the wide bib or 'collar' drop necklace were used in the Egyptian Revival Line that was so popular with Miriam Haskell. The color combination is quite unusual and intriguing, switching out the coral more commonly seen for the jade green.
A matching bracelet and earrings complete the set. The earrings feature a jade color glass cabochon completely surrounded by emerald rhinestones.

HISTORY: Miriam Haskell began business in 1924 when she came from Indiana to NYC and opened a shop. She started the Miriam Haskell Company in 1926. No jewelry was marked in any permanent way from 1926 until 1947, and only occasionally marked from 1947 until 1949. Haskell sold her business in 1954 to Frank Hess and Morris Kensler, and it has had various owners since then. The company is still in business today.
