This is an amazing 18 karat Italy gold brooch with natural coral `flowers', plentiful sparkly diamonds and enameling. The details and design are original and rare.
It is done in a stylized floral design. Featuring a stamen composed of four natural coral gems mounted on posts within a spray of white and green enameled sections. There is a front surround of strongly textured gold above a cluster of white gold with navette shaped diamond sections.
Then there is a green enamel leaf and a polished yellow gold stem.
This brooch contains 11 round brilliant and single cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.12 carat total. This was determined while the diamonds were set in the brooch.
ERA: This trombone clasp was popular from the 1940's through the 1960's. This chunky nugget look yellow 18K gold was very popular in the 1950's to 1960's.
Hallmark Stamp: Italy on the clasp. All gold tests for 18K quality. Clearly seen with a jewelers loop, but so hard to get a good picture.
WEIGHT: 24 grams total weight. Measures 2-3/4" x 1-1/2".
CONDITION: I see no damage at all. Excellent pre-owned condition. There is a secure clutch safety clasp.
