This is an old bowling game featuring `cadets' or little wooden soldiers. Often referred to as a table-top game, the idea was to line them up in bowling order and then you had three tries, with different color balls, to knock them all down.
The original box is slightly tattered and has been re-taped, but still is 90% intact.
It is representational of the game inside. Made by the Stahlwood Toy Mfg. Co. of NY. NY., it has the original tag on the bottom from Wieboldt's department store. Wieboldt's was a general retailer in business in the Chicago area between 1883 to 1986.
This wooden game originally cost $1.39 and I believe it dates from 1946. It was made before they acquired their Image Trademark with Serial Number 72322757.... from 1969 or 1970.
The antique toy archive, an online service, has little to no information on this company.
CONDITION: This one is as complete as it comes. The condition is very, very good pre-owned.
